Q.  Will high-definition discs play on my standard-definition DVD Player?

A.  No, standard-definition DVD players will not play the new high-definition formats. However, new high-definition players will play standard-definition DVDs.

Q.  Will high-definition disc players play all high-definition formats?

A.  Player manufacturers have only developed players that play only the Blu-ray format and DVD formats

Q.  Is my HDTV ready to play high-definition DVDs?

A.  Most likely (sorry folks this one is a little trickier to answer) – The answer depends on the type of TV you own, the kind of connectors on the back and the title you’re watching.
